Panayotis Kanellopoulos joined MYTILINEOS in 2010 and currently is the Executive Director | M Integrated Supply & Trading of MYTILINEOS Energy Sector.
As a recognised energy industry expert, with extensive experience of more than 30 years, Panayotis Kanellopoulos designs and orchestrates the corporate strategy on Natural Gas (pipeline gas & LNG) of MYTILINEOS, with achievements such as the import of the first private LNG cargo in the Greek market, and the successful expansion and increased market penetration of NG activities in neighbouring countries. Furthermore, within his responsibilities has been the commercial activities of the retail business under the brand PROTERGIA.
Previously he was CEO of the Hellenic Natural Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) where he initiated the efforts and set up the basis for the open up of the Greek natural gas market.
Earlier in his career, for more than 11 years held various positions ranging from Commercial Manager to Supply Chain Director for the East Med cluster in MOBIL and BP Hellas gaining management experience in both sales, marketing and operations in the national and international energy sector.
